Joint Committee of the Senate visits King Hussein Business Park
The Joint Committee included members of the Energy and Mineral Resources Committee headed by HE Dr. Hisham Al Khatib, and members of the Education committee headed by HE Dr. Wajeeh Oweis, along with other members of both committees, who met with the KHBP Chairman HE Eng. Atef Tell, and KHBP CEO Eng. Soud Soror.
HE Eng. Tell stated: “The management of the business park is keen on transforming it into an innovation hub and a pioneering smart science park in the region. He also pointed out that the management of the business park is adopting this methodology in the future expansion plans, while also working on strengthening the green city system through the adoption of smart and environmentally friendly solutions and through the use of renewable energy sources and the development of the data center that will provide disaster recovery services, and offer communications and Internet services with the latest technologies.”
The Committee was briefed by CEO engineer Soud Soror about the business park, its integrated business environment for many leading local and international companies, and emerging companies, and highlighted achievements of the business park during the past period. He also added that the business park reached 100% occupancy, currently hosting more than 175 companies, including 75 international companies, as well as 100 startup companies under Grow initiative within the business park providing more than 4,500 jobs.
Eng. Soror gave a presentation about the future expansion plan of the business spark development zone, spanning more than 1.4 million square meters, stressing that the extension builds a base of development combining office space, business facilities, medical and healthcare, mixed use and residential.
The members of the committee took a tour at several companies and startups in the business park to get acquainted with their success story.
