In line with its commitment to sustainability and inclusive innovation, the King Hussein Business Park (KHBP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The MoU aims to enhance the rights of persons with disabilities and take significant steps toward their full inclusion in society by providing them with integrated support within the Business Park Park and enabling their independent access to all facilities and services.

The MoU was signed by HRH Prince Mired bin Ra’ad, Chairman of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and Engineer Ammar Izzeddine, CEO of King Hussein Business Park.

The agreement outlines joint cooperation to retrofit existing buildings and plan future facilities within the Business Park in accordance with the Building Code Requirements for Persons with Disabilities. This will ensure the creation of a modern and inclusive urban environment that caters to the needs of all individuals without exception. It also includes collaboration on integrating persons with disabilities into the labor market and exchanging relevant data to boost employment opportunities within the Park.

Under the agreement, the Council will provide technical support, specialized consultations, and assistance to help the Business Park prepare its infrastructure to meet accessibility standards. It will also train the Business Park’s staff on rights-based approaches, effective communication, and ensuring equal opportunities in the workplace.

HRH Prince Mired emphasized that building an inclusive and accessible society can only be achieved through conscious partnerships that place people at the center of development and guarantee equal participation of persons with disabilities in public life.

For his part, Engineer Ammar Ezzedine stated that this cooperation is an extension of the Business Park’s vision as an integrated community that redefines the concept of inclusive and innovative environments—measured not only by smart infrastructure but also by fostering opportunities for the future. He highlighted the Business Park’s aim to enable people to live and work seamlessly where smart design meets empowerment that upholds human dignity, offering a sustainable urban model that embraces diversity and respects everyone’s rights.

King Hussein Business Park is set to implement a comprehensive two-year action plan, which includes the rehabilitation of existing facilities, development of sidewalks and entrances, and ensuring all future buildings comply with relevant national and international standards. The plan also aims to enhance public services to create a more accommodating environment.

This initiative follows the launch of KHBP’s expansion project, part of the development of Phases II, III, and IV. The project aims to create multi-use investment spaces that support a sustainable environment and an inclusive community—bringing together all elements needed to support business growth and meet the modern needs of individuals and companies. Work on infrastructure development and rehabilitation is already underway.
