King Hussein Business Park celebrated the raising of the Great Arab Revolt Flag On the evening of Sunday, the 8th of May, 2016, as part of the Kingdom’s celebrations of the Great Arab Revolt Centennial.
(Amman, 08.05.2016) King Hussein Business Park celebrated the raising of the Great Arab Revolt Flag On the evening of Sunday, the 8th of May, 2016, as part of the Kingdom’s celebrations of the Great Arab Revolt Centennial. – The Flag-hoisting took place during a ceremony attended by a number of officials, executives, representatives of companies operating in King Hussein Business Park, and the media, with the participation of the Jordanian Armed Forces Band.
The celebrations started with a speech by Dr. Moayad Al Samman, The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Hussein Business Park, Dr. Moayad recalled the Great Arab Revolt as the first Arab national liberation movement which called for the independence, vigilance, unity, and renaissance of Arabs. Dr. Samman expressed the pride of every Jordanian in the legacy of the Arab Revolt and the history of Jordan. He stressed that this legacy reinforces the faith of Jordanians in their future, and motivates them to build on the spirit of achievements and proceed with confidence on the path of sustainable development.
Dr. Moayad Al Samman said: "We are proud to raise the flag of the Great Arab Revolt over the King Hussein Business Park, which was originally established as the administrative headquarters of the Jordanian Army, and envisioned by His Majesty King Abdullah II, and in line with the directives of His Excellency His Majesty's Adviser for Military Affairs, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mashal Al Zabin, the site was rehabilitated and converted into the King Hussein Business Park, to become an incubator for creativity and entrepreneurship and a model business city. "
KHBP team shared the success story of the King Hussein Business Park (KHBP) with the attendees, of which the occupancy rate has reached 100%, since all office space have been fully leased and supported by commercial and service facilities, hosting major international companies in the telecommunications, information technology, media, health care, education, sectors, in addition to international and local organizations. The King Hussein Business Park today enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide which made it an edifice destination for an outstanding business environment in the Kingdom. With the presence of 150 international and local companies on its premises, KHBP has successfully provided more than 4,000 jobs for Jordanians.
Also, Dr. Samman expressed his pride in KHBP’s most prominent success story, “Grow” initiative, whereby a building that was originally built as the main dormitory building for military personnel was allocated and converted into KHBP’s engine for collaborative innovation, “GROW” to become the national platform to embrace the entrepreneurship of the Jordanian youth who are able to possess the knowledge, leadership, and innovation, and enable them to establish start-up companies which are able to compete and create.
The flag of the Great Arab Revolt was raised, with the participation of the Jordanian Armed Forces Band, which played a range of national musicals that were enjoyed by the audience and special performance by the Backlight Drummers
It is noteworthy that King Hussein Business Park's management is currently working on a master plan which includes the development of the remaining spaces within the complex, and the preparation of a development plan that will be developed in line with the market demand in the coming years over an area of 1.4 million sqm, which will be carried out in stages.
